I thought I would this forum to see how how the down under folks work in wood. I see numerous postst by derek cohen in another forum so here I am. I have restored an 18ft mahogany runabout, numerous projects mostly book cases,table,etc. Now I am retired and decided to delve into caricature carving.Nothing to show yet but I am making knives from regrinding floor scraper blades. High carbon steel,bendy at 035 thick but razor sharp. Handles are in work. I spent 6 weeks in Perth doing workfor Aussat telecom--loved the area.
