New guy- just bought a Japanese saw today! The dangerous stuff starts tomorrow.
Hi.
I can't say I don't have experience with saws and chisels being a site carpenter/ wood-butcher for thirty odd years.
In that time I've inevitably done some joinery but seldom proper bench based work.
Anyway- I need to expand my hobbies and why not start with something that at least I have a slight foot in the door already.
If any kind members can help me with some of the fancy joints and furniture I've become inspired to make then I possibly can help with info on some of the boring site carpentry stuff that I've done over the years.
Also: I did my apprenticeship in New Zealand (1990s) then UK 6 years and OZ since 2006 so I've been lucky to get some different perspectives and techniques.
Anyway, hi and thanks in advance!
Japanese pull saws- a revelation
Recently purchased two. I Believe that I am addicted. Can't tell the wife!
