Hi all and greetings from lockdown Melbourne.:U:U:Uid like to firstly advise that anyone with a nobex octo it can be trued !! I just received an octo 400 last week and on the flip test and also checked with my engineer square it was out 2 mm i contacted the retailer and they refunded my money and said do what you want with it! So nothing to lose i i unscrewed the allen screw and popped it out,i then pulled the rule out stubbornly .if you do this be careful as the indent mechansm is plastic no bearings whatsoever as most people thought and has 2 pressure washers that will fly out. The plastic mechanism is attached to one side of the ruler and the other half slides into alloy housing with slots on a disc .this can be pryed out.depending which way your ruler inclines out of square you can file the plastic side and corresponding diagonal CAREFULLY and putting back together and repeat until it is perfectly square. Hope this may help someone who has the same problem. Cheers everybody
