Jumping down necks

Pity theres such a tendency for some to jump down necks.

Peter made it very clear that he has been thinking for a while about reducing his online time. He is not leaving totally.

So others have accused Lignum of causing Peter to leave just because there was a difference of opinion between both of them.

Peter's a valuable member of this forum.

Lignum's also a valuable member
He's not obnoxious but he does speak his mind!
He's a master craftsman
( a term he doesn't apply to himself, if he did someone would - in the old oz fashion - try and cut him down)
He is very helpful and he shares his knowledge readily

I don't want either of these fine woodies to leave.

So get yer fingers out and tell both of em to stay.

I have'nt been involved in the discussion's of late, however I have observed it all(no comment).
I agree 100% with you echidna. Both are valued, highly respected forum member's, and it would be a terrible shame, and or loss, to lose either..

Now i'm off to the shed to mash some MDF and Pinus together so I can organazize the clutter, and get started on some real, beautiful timber pieces:rolleyes:

Why anybody would consider leaving because of a little arguement is beyond my understanding. Leads me to believe that if they do, its because of something else thats affecting their lives at the moment.

Thats probably whats more likely fueling the arguement anyway, like all arguements, IMO. Somebodys feeling tired, or old, or hangover, or frustrated with their work, lonely etc,,,,,and this little arguement just set it all off. yes ? no ?

I won't be urging anybody to leave. Neither will I be urging anybody to stay.

If you want to leave, then leave. Similarly if you want to stay then stay. :rolleyes:

I read Peter's post as, he had rearranged his priorities so as to cater for all the things he had/wanted to do. A major part was a resumption of Ballroom dancing with his wife, and I totally suport this decision as it was something he and his wife shared in their younger days.
All too many couples lose touch as they progress through life, and find when the kids have grown up they have grown apart. I wish him all the best in refinding what he and his wife shared.
I don't think he said he was leaving us altogether. :D

Guys sit back and chill out, don't roll up your blanket and go, just pick your posts, ignore what upset you, or put your 2 cents worth in regardless, your input is as important as anyone elses. It would be a dull forum if we were all the same, all agreeing and no one speaking their mind incase you upset someone, or leaving because you feel disenhanced with a sector om the members. This forum needs the input of many, right and wrong, to make it as great as it is.
The right to participate , as long as it's within the rules, is yours and yours alone. If you wish to leave then that too is your decision .

Which ever way you decide I wish you both a great Christmas and hope to be reading your posts again in the new year
