restoring MCM danish deluxe armchairs with 0000 steel wool 7 linseed /turps blend?

Hi Would u recommend restoring MCM danish deluxe armchairs using 0000 steel wool and linseed / turps blend? i think the timber is blackbean, but ideally would like to see it finished as light toned and as raw looking as possible.
