Here to learn and turn

Howdy woodworkers.
I'm in my mid 40s and have been turning and playing with timber on and off for 30 odd years. Started to get a bit more serious in the last couple of years and branch into a bit of wood salvaging. I have a shed full of mostly old second hand tools which I enjoying modifying and maintaining. Just bought my second lathe (retiring the one I got when I was a school kid). Also trying to build my skills for a bit of joinery.
I think all the folks on here have a lot of knowldege to share so looking forward to benefiting from that and maybe chipping in a few pearls if I can.

As requested - a pic of my latest project. This bowl was to have a narrowing top section but I had the skew chisel bite a big chunk out of it and had to make it shorter.
The timber is some kind of pine like a cypress pine but with a reddish rough curling bark. Might have to post about it on "what wood is that" to see if someone can ID it. It works nicely with beautiful grain.
Contents of the bowl are some of my home grown passionfruits which are in abundance right now and are delicious by the way.
