Hello fellow wood lovers
Hi all I'm 1madmouse from USA and I came to hopefully learn some and not afraid to share what I know. I have a bit of experience from being a Sheetmetal worker and a maintenance tech for property management. I am retired now and hoping to spend more time working with wood. I recently acquired a nice woodlathe and bandsaw, so looking to further my knowledge in those areas.

Thank you for the welcome. I should add that I have a nice tablesaw, routers, planers, beltsanders, orbitals, etc also. I have been making some wood toys and tables, and a bit of stuff, but want to be able to do more and do it right. I think everyone you meet has something you can learn from them, just have to be open and pay attention.

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum,
There are quite a few members from the "USA" plus "canuck" members and the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
PS - I've heard lots of good news from Bethel in Redding
PSS - Check out the toymaking section of the forum!!!

Thank you crowie, I am in the process of getting pics together of some of my work. I know anyone can claim to have done stuff, but the pics give a bit more credit. I have lived in Redding for some time and can't really say much about Bethel other than they are big here. I will also check out the toymaking part of the site. I have made some small trucks and cars mostly by hand.
