Owner Builders to Help Each Other

I’m about to become an Owner Builder.

I haven’t seen anything on this site where Owner Builders help each other in terms of supplying their physical labour to each other in/with various aspects of the construction of their house.

For instance I’ll give you a day’s labour and in return you give me a day’s labour, ie; I will require help in the pouring, screeding and finishing of the concrete floor slab.

It would have to be a regional thing.

If people didn’t honour their commitment to each other then this forum is available to spread the word.

Maybe the Site Administrators could set up an “Owner Builders Help Each Other” sub-site under Home Renovations Etc.

Doesn't the Barter Card system cover this, or is this not over in WA? It was in QLD last time I was there.

As I understand it, only a business which offers goods or services can apply for Barter Card. Rod is talking about individuals offering labour or expertise in exchange for someone else's labour or expertise.

Barter Card costs real dolars to join & real dollars to administer.

just read your question. How is your extension going?
I am just starting my extension. Brick layer starts next week. I am interested in exchanging labour. I am in the PERTH area.
