Aussie Oil and EEE Wax - Removing marks

I've rubbed a few coats of Aussie oil on to a piece of work (sanded to 2000) and typically it feels spectacular, but if I tilt it around in the light I can see a few (presumably) finger marks and edges where I've had to add more oil as I've gone along. I've spent ages trying to rub them out long after the oil was applied, with a fresh cloth or a dried one that was used in the application, but with no success.

Before I wreck a nice piece by trying it myself, would EEE wax help to cut those marks out?

I've just tried rubbing a little-eensy-teensy-tiny-winy bit more oil on a "bad" area...
(...holy heck!!! Just one atom of this stuff goes for miles!!!...)
...and while it half improved one area, I seemed to have introduced other defects in other places.

Was worth a shot. I obviously need more practice and better control of my application.



So tomorrow I'll take one for the team, try the EEE and see what happens...

Yep, the EEE works at removing the marks, but it feels like it's at a very minute cost to the feeling of the brilliant finish the oil the leaves.
I've been buffing one side of the piece for the last 20 minutes and I can't seem to get it feeling like the other side.
Perhaps a final all over coat of trad-wax at the end would help.

I'm way too OCD for this so there's a good chance I'm just being super fussy. The second some bozo picks up the piece, it's going to get marked again.
