We had to slide across on the lino.
I was the remote control for the parents.
My Brother broke his leg in a mining accident, he was staying at Mum's place on the lounge. As there was no remote, he tied a piece of string to the on/off switch, pulling the string for on and used his crutch to switch it off. Changing channels was a case of"MUUUMM".
