Sanding sealer on veneered mdf
I have made some Murphy folding bunk beds for the kids and am using a walnut veneered mdf for the base. The veneer is quite smooth and doesn't require any additional sanding. I will be using a NC satin finish. I have never sprayed a veneered panel before nor used walnut as a veneer but I have experience with solid walnut. I was wondering if I should bother with a sanding sealer prior to the NC coats? I'm reluctant to do much sanding on the veneer anyway, it's a piddly .5mm thick so very little there should i get a bit excited with the orbital. Being mdf I'm not sure if the nc will just soak in coat after coat of I don't seal it?
any thoughts?
