Why do we call it a "tuna-fish" sandwich?
If we do that we might as well be consistent and also say "chicken-bird" sandwich

I've told you before...it's called "tautism"...don't make me repeat myself
the main reason
to reinforce to ourselves that it the meat is fish and not part mammal. The dolphin by-catch used to end up in the cans of tuna. You don't have a similar problem with chicken -- any foxes in the hen house run away when you go to catch the chook you're going to eat.
Who calls it a tuna-fish sandwich anyway? Americans? I haven't heard an Aussie say it before. I do like my tuna sandwiches though.... damn, now I'm hungry.
has to be tuna fish to distinguish from a piano tuna
Quite a bit different to a Holden one tuna.
Alan...
or maybe datsa luvly tuna yusa play
Mods, can we PLEASE have a groan button.:oo:
