When I was an apprentice last century, we cut and made all our frames on site. One of the other blokes would hold the dumb end of the tape when checking for square and he would either hold it short by an inch or long by an inch on the opposite diagonal after the third attempt he would hold it in the correct spot, the rest of the crew got a real laugh out of me when I tried to figure what was wrong.
BTDT on both ends:D
Working on Macquarie University we managed to get hold of the Architect's tape measure and cut 100mm off the end and re fitted the hook.
...and he didn't even notice ......
So long as he used the same tape measure to measure the gap and the piece to fit it what's the problem? :?
Cheers
Doug
Would be interesting result if he used that tape to mark up a working set of drawings for the usual architect changes and given to supplier to produce...hmmmmm
No matter how many times I cut it, it's still too short.
I believe the gentleman in question was killed when a disgruntled brickie dropped a brick bat on his head.
