Hi all!

Hi everybody!
My name's Andrew, from Darwin, and I've joined chasing some advice. I am building a giant ruler to measure the kids with. It's a 5 year anniversary for the wife, who informs me traditional 5 year presents need to be made of wood. It is down to finishing but I am a bit lost on how to achieve what I want, I'll pop up a thread in the finishing forum but thanks in advance for your advice!
