GOODDAY goodday HI hi
Hi,
I chose that title because I am making sash windows, which GO UP and down.
Am restoring an 1888 building and have many carpentry issues.
Now I need to know,
and would greatly appreciate learned opinion on,
what timber to use.
I have made a couple from that hardwood they sell in DAR lengths at Bunnings.
It is okay. I was able to use the router on it and table saw etc. But what is the correct wood please?
Cheers,
Dean111

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Dean".
There are quite a few members in the Hunter District [watch out for a get together] and across the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork...
Cheers crowie
PS - Keep an eye out as the Newcastle district mob occasionally have a Get Together, great way to met like minded folk....
