Building certifier demands....

Hey guys,

i recieved an an email from my building certifier today with a list of required certificates for my final inspection. I am no where near ready for this but the checklist is requesting certificate for prefabricated frames. I was planning on building my own frames because I like to do things the hard way and gives me a sense of accomplishment. That, and my dad and step-dad are both builders, so why would I pay someone else thousands to do what I have the capability to do myself?

am I actually required to use prefab or re they just being dicks?
