Having assembled a long bar counter for a cafe with hardwood planks someone had filled all the gaps with builders bog. After days of sanding I can't live with this pink result! Do I cut the hundreds of pink fine lines or stain the bench or use car paint pen to draw over it ?please advice I'm very worried

If you stain it dark enough it might hide it
Sorry for annoying typo, I shouldproofread! I would of loved to retain the light tones of the timber and offset it with dark putty in the Grain and gaps. But I think iits too late... What do you think about using the auto paint pen to colour in all hideous pink bog?
Why don't you post a photo so we get a better handle of what you're on about?

You would have to mask around every single line and, even then, it might still bleed into the surrounding timber.

sand / plane the bog off
rout the bog out and replace it with contrasting wood strips
toss the top in the bin and make a new one
