Full height glass walls, sliding, stacking doors, what's the crack?
Hi all,
So I'm in the very early design stages of an add on, open plan extension, some might say the 'dreamy phase'. :)
Can anyone offer some insight into the cost, the names of suppliers, from experience, do's and dont's etc. relating to heating/cooling, cost of design, tipping point in cost, fly screens.
I currently have a 9m span across the back of the house.
North facing rear yard.
I like the look of Black Aluminium.
The larger the pane, the higher cost/m2 as handling costs go up, but how much?
Have heard of people wishing they incorporated fly screens into the design.
How much more expensive are the sliding/stacking type 2to 3m doors as opposed to general bi-folds?
Have estimated bi-folds to be around a grand a meter at 2400mm high.
Costs include supply and installation for the mega large types shown below?
Any ideas on the costs of this sort of thing?
It's a bit hard to try and get a quote, as there really is nothing to quote off, and I'm not up to that stage as of yet.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
