At the gas supplier where I work, written orders are issued to change
meters when they are malfunctioning.
On the order sheet is a "remarks" section, where the service representative notes any
problems that prevented the job from being completed.
The most succinct explanation to ever come back was:
"DOG DOES NOT WANT METER TO BE CHANGED."
The meter reader did not want to meet 'er. (Well it may have been a female dog).

The gas company just showed up wanting to change the meter for wireless electronic reading. The guy changed our meter for this purpose. Then he went next door and it was obvious that the dog did not want the meter changed. :no: :U
