Fibreglass tape and silicon?

I need to put a hot stove flue though a tent window and I need to reinforce the LW insect mesh that the window opening is filled with Before I start to experiment; does anybody know if the impregnation of the tape that allows the resin to wet it out is compatible with neutral cure silicon ?
If it isn't will it wash out?
Machine sewing isn't an option unless I cut out the floor
