Paddy and the cat.

Paddy's wife bought a cat which Paddy was not in favour of. He decided to
go for a drive with it and dumped it a few kilometres away. Next morning the
cat was back on the doorstep.
So Paddy took it for another trip and dumped it more than fifty kilometres
away hoping it would never return. Once again the cat was back on his
doorstep within a short time.
In desperation he drove across the border and took the cat into the Simpson
Desert to the most isolated spot he could find. The cat was dumped again.

Two days later Paddy rang his wife to find out how things were at home. He
was surprised to hear that his wife and the cat were doing well. He immediately
asked his wife to put the cat on the phone.

"Why"?, she asked.
Paddy replied, "Because I'm lost'.
