1 month pause of house build before roofing can go on. Ideas to protect framing?
So we are building my house and will unfortunately soon have to put the build on hold for one month. The trouble is we will just have finished putting up the rafters and thus all the framing, in particular the lovely big long (240x45) rafters will cop the sun and the rain for a month. I know this will lead to a great deal of bending, twisting and cracking. Plus the rest of the frame has been going up for the past 3 months and I feel needs protection asap too.
Any suggestions on ways to protect it temporarily?
I was thinking some big tarps, but I can't get any big enough to go over the roof and the wind will probably tear it to shreds (it gets fairly windy here)
Other ideas??
