What is this building method
There is a house being built nearby which has me puzzled about the building method. There never seems to be anyone there to ask.

Anyway, you can see it in the attached photo. I'm puzzled about the treated pine logs - set upright in the ground. They look too haphazard to be part of the foundations. So what are they being used for ?
