Front entry door bottom gap - does this look right?
Hi guys,
I just want to confirm what everyone else thinks about the installation of my front door.
I've had some great trades through and some duds that have cost me money, I'm fair but am sick of shoddy workmanship.
What is an acceptable and standard gap between the front entry door and tiled floor?
The floor is quite level, maybe 1 or 2mm at most deviation in floor level when door fully open compared to fully closed.
I get almost 11mm of a gap below the door at the handle end (left side of image) and about 5mm at the hinge end. The cut at the bottom of the door is uneven as you can see.
I haven't paid the guy as he's coming tomorrow to finalise but he's feeding me the line about room for expansion - a few mm perhaps but 11mm is a bit much isn't it.
The gaps at side and top are about 3-4mm, I think they've butchered the bottom cut.
Would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions?
