Rare, Colourful & Figured Woods (ex Xylo-australis)

I am not exactly a business now but was a small home-based business until a few years ago, called Xylo-australis, principally a speciality rare wood supply business.

Over the past 20 or so years or so, I have accumulated much stock. It needs to be "released" for use and to release some funds as superannuation for my own use. Boards, billets, blocks, burl slabs and blocks, ancient and prehistoric woods for collectors, logs and pre-cut squares for turners (spindle and bowl, for knife pen and tool makers, box makers, jewellery makers, musical instrument makers / restorers, small item carvers, engravers, small furniture makers , wood collectors reference speimens and much more etc.

Most of the wood is of Australian origin with many species now rare or hard to find or obtain. Prices are not "bargain basement" but aimed for the quality conscious maker of high quality items. Over the years I have tried to give good, honest and fast service to inquiries and buyers. Variety of choice and technical advice on products are my strengths.

I live in Warragul (1.3 hrs SE of Melbourne) but ship wood around the world as well as states across Australia (in small sizes / packs). Visits by prior arrangement only.

Finally I also offer decorative products for knives eg stones, shell (MOP and paua shell).
