Finish for an IKEA Birch butchers block benchtop

Hi all - I'd be really grateful for advice/experience on what to coat my IKEA Birch butchers block kitchen benchtops. They are already installed, oops! I thought the IKEA oli/product would be enough but have decided I need to finish them properly as they still stain etc. Wanting to do myself. I've used Wattyl Polyurethane satin before but it says NOT for benchtops. Have also been looking at Country Oil and Tung Oil. Anyone used these for kitchen before? I just want something I can easily apply myself. I understand I'll have to do the underside (that I can get to) and all the edges. The Wattyl Estapol looked good on an old pine benchtop I had and held up well to stains etc....I can't see why can't be used in food preps areas. PS I'm after a matt or satin finish, no gloss. Thoughts?

Pure Tung Oil will take a long time to dry, I am not familiar with Country Oil.

You can buy a Watco product called "Butcher Block Oil and Finish" from hardware stores. I can't remember which store I bought mine from, but it is excellent. One can does up to 445 square feet. It dries quickly and you have no problems with stains and so on. Completely food safe! I think it's probably a mineral Oil.
Not sure what country oil is, but Tung Oil, while suitable for what you want is probably not the best option, just because of maintenance of the finish.
