Attaching timber posts to brick piers

Hey Guys,

Long time reader less time poster here.

I am rebuilding the porch/deck on my 1930's California Bungalow and need some help.

I am looking for some advice on how to best attach a pair of 100x100 timber posts to the top of the brick piers supporting the roof structure. I'd like to do this in a way that is not visible externally.

I have attached an image of my plan. The piers will be 710*350 (not 720x230 as marked)
