Hal Taylor Rocking Chair plans, templates and DVDs

Not really a business, but more a service that members might find of value.

Hal Taylor (of the rocking chair fame) has granted me sales rights for his book, paper templates, back brace hole template (BBHT), and 3-disc DVD set. This is so woodworkers out this side of the world can make one of his rocking chairs without paying an arm and a leg for having the plans, templates etc. posted from the US.

I’m authorized to sell to woodworkers in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. The prices are:

• Hal Taylor’s book How to Make a Beautiful Rocking Chair (CD in PDF format) — $19.95 (NZ and Japan $18.50)

• Back brace hole template BBHT (new version) — $35.00 (NZ and Japan $32.00)

• Full template set (paper templates for small, medium and large rockers) — $35.00 (NZ and Japan $32.00)

• 3-disc DVD set How to Make a Hal Taylor Rocking Chair — $75.00 (NZ and Japan $70.00)

The prices above are Australian dollars, and the Australian prices include GST. Postage for all four items together within Australia is around the $17 mark.

This really is a beautiful and comfortable rocking chair, and the set of instructions in Hal’s book coupled with the DVDs make it a challenging but relatively easy-to-accomplish project.
