Correct way for nailing stud walls???

Hi,

I am about to construct some stud walls in my shed, to make a large room, some 9m by 4m.

They will be insulated and have either plasterboard or plywood on them and will be out of 90x45 MGP10 timbers.

My query is which is correct, nailing through base plate and top plate into studs (90mm nails) or skewing (75mm nails) into studs?

Everywhere seems to suggest skewing yet I am sure when I helped some mates construct some stud walls many years ago we were firing the nails through the

bottom of the base plates.This was the method I was going to use.

The width of the shed is 9m, so I was going to make 3 walls of 3m and fix to the floor with dynabolts and fix off to the columns, then sheet the frames, the

other size dimension constisted of a 4m wall in between two columns (1 bay) and do the same.

Then for the ceiling have 190 x 45 Timbers going across the 4m span (450mm apart).

Does this seem adequate or is their a better way?? (And does this make sense!!:) )
