Hello from Scotland!
G'day, just to say hello, and that I am considering a move down under and looking for some info from those who know it best. I am a violin maker and interested in finding out how easy or otherwise it is to get good quality seasoned timber down under. I also do repairs and bow repairs, and guitar work. Anyway, have enjoyed reading a lot of the threads, and sounds like theres a lot of good quality work going on down under. Cheers, Graham

G'Day & Welcome "to the Great South Land" & to a top forum "Graham".
There are quite a few members from UK on the forum as well as across the rest of the world..
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [work in progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
PS - May I suggest you ask the musical instruments question and specifically the timber questions in the subsections....these will give you a wider audience response....

Herdi Gerdi
Hi Graham if you considering moving down under I know a fellow at my daughter's Presy church in Canberra who has made numerous musical instruments including a Herdi Gerdi. I had never seen one before or ever heard of one.
