11mm architrave to 18mm skirting

Hi guys, sorry if this is a silly question... I need to replace my skirtings and architrave after reno. I'm looking at Bunnings pre primed moldings. 66mm architrave is all 11mm thick. I want 92 or 138 skirting but that's all 18mm thick. I have 2 door frames that are 70mm from an internal wall therefore I want to stick with 66mm architrave. Question is what's the best way to join 11mm architrave to 18mm skirting or is that a no no? Thanks
