Hi Rhett,
I don't know if you want to deal in small quantities, but I am interested in some of your timber. I'm only interested in dry timber, just to get that out there up front.
I am interested in any large, thick pieces of sheoak with minimal (preferably zero) cracking which could be used to turn bowls of really any size, but the larger the better.
I am also interested in 45mmx45mmx300mm blocks of Jarrah. I use these for cocktail muddlers, so the hardness and density of Jarrah is ideal. I would be interested in the dark red jarrah heartwood with no pith and the pieces would need to be solid and not have any visible gum veins. If I turn them down and they have giant veins in the middle... well... that's just a risk I'll have to take.
Are you able to supply these sizes? Do you even deal at the consumer level?
Aside from the four timbers you mentioned, do you have any other, less common WA timbers?
If you want to send me some pricing and availability, or any feedback in general, that would be greatly appreciated. You can reach me via email at
[email protected] (preferred) but I'm also happy to communicate on here.
Thanks a lot. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Luke
