Wife reckons I lost her watch in the garbage

Talk about having a bad hair day...

Two days ago SWMBO left her nurses watch out on the kitchen bench for me to take down to the jewellers for a new battery. Forgot about the thing untill this afternoon when SWMBO enquired as to the whereabouts of her watch. After looking in the usual places we concluded that it must have got knocked off the bench and into the basket in which we put the rubbish for the recycling bin.....it looked like the watch might be sitting outside in the recycling bin.

Went out to the workshop to finish off some jobs with a plan to ferret throught the recycling bin a bit later on. Eventually got hold of the bin and emptied the contents on the garage floor and proceded to pick through the huge pile of bottles, cans and cardboard..discovering why one should throughly clean sardine cans before dumping them in the bin.

Couldnt find the watch, put all the rubbish back in the bin and went inside to break the news to SWMBO....only to get told that she already knew this....she'd gone through the bin about 10 minutes before I had.

Buy her a new watch; the old one is bound to turn up then :)

you have obviously lost time , dont get her a second hand one to replace it
just watch yourself , dont get stressed as its too much strain on the old ticker
and stay clear of her so she can't clock you
otherwise its all relative

Yep. That's the right plan of attack.

I don't have a watch. I just have the time written down on a piece of paper. When somebody asks me the time, i just show them that.
Just suggest she does that - it's a cheap solution. ;)

You could try leaving SWMBO sitting on the bench, perhaps she will end up in the same place as the watch.
If she disappears too you won't have to buy a new watch!

Yeh......I can imagine her checking some poor blokes pulse at work with a piece of paper :D :D
