Hi all, I need to make some new awning frames and would like to look at other options for hardware - the old ones have friction stays / hinges on the sides. I think I'd prefer them top-hinged - could I still use chain winders in this case? (ie. would the chain have enough give in it) or is there a special type of chain winder for top hinged awnings?
