How times have changed.

I agree with the appliances, if you buy any of them, you would wear it.

I can imagine some of the younger forum members asking "what is a (bell & howell) projector?"

Having checked out the website I must say I especially liked the adds for boot polish; possibly the least sexy item being advertised. Except possibly for the plethora of, erm,products designed for feminine cleansing.

I suspect that if you had only eaten cornflakes hundreds would have died from malnutrition. Thus the product would have become a cereal killer. :rolleyes:

I can see why newspapers of that era were broadsheet format. They would never have got Sebrina onto a tabloid unless they went for a double page spread.:rolleyes:

I can understand that :- . (Could we ask the administrators for a 'dislike' button?)

Of all those advertisements the only one that has endured and survived political correctness is the lipstick. Perhaps the association of lips and an undeniably phallic lipstick holder is inescapable, although lip gloss is more likely applied with a brush, but not lipstick.

Why is lipstick still the same? I think possibly because it is appropriate and practical and is not demeaning.

The triumph car company built a prototype double over head cam engine in the 60's that was nicknamed Sabrina. Possibly the lady featured above.

The covers at the front of the cams were...bulbous...
