Restoring the natural beauty of smoked sheesham

Hi,

We have a dining room table that is made from Smoked Sheesham. It's untreated as far as I can tell with no wax or laquer, but has lost a lot of is distinctive colours that it had when new, so we'd like to try and restore the colours.

We want to maintain the natural, untreated matt look, but bring out the colours it had when when new. I've attached a photo to show the contrasts of the bits of the table that have faded / worn (i.e. the bit we use on the right) vs a bit that hasn't (on the left) so you can see the difference.

What do you think the best method would be to restore these natural colours without making it all shiny and losing the natural look. I'm thinking some kind of oil?
