Bifold pocket doors

Hi and thanks for reading this, I am in the middle of a reno and have made a "European" style laundry 1800mm wide, have come to the point of closing the laundry off, and due to the location (off the kitchen) I have decided on bifold doors that slide back into a pocket on the side wall.
Each leaf will be 450mm wide X 2100mm high.
I am not to sure what to use for the doors was thinking about MDF but as there will be no track system it might be a bit heavy.
Any thoughts?
