Agreed. I'm a man of the modern age, and while I can do a bit of a guess at 6'4" or 1 inch, I refuse to think of what the heck 37/64th or 19/23rds are. :?
1.5mm, .75mm or .8mm are just nice.
Interestingly, I just bought a copy of an American Woodworker book and it used mm/cm/M, so maybe, just maybe, they are trying to change. I've also seen a few discussions in metric.
