Hi to any woodworkers, I'm new to woodturning and would be interested in purchasing a glove that may save a few fingers if I have an accident with the lathe and chisels. Does anyone have any good ideas? :o
Many thanks

I would not recommend usings gloves with a turning machine like a lathe. The risk that a glove will catch on something and pull your hand into the lathe is greater than any benefit it provides. One of the best risk reduction strategy is to get some lessons, and learn how to work without gloves. An apron, a full face shield and adequate dust control of course are assumed.
Thanks for that Bob, never thought about gloves getting caught in lathe.
Also if you have long hair be careful
