Need help altering roof

Hi all. Ive been looking at this project on and off for a few years now and the roof plan makes my head ache so I give up each time:D. I'm wearing out my white board.

The front deck runs full width of the house but I want to enclose the section shown and pull the house roof out over. Now I dont know if its just me looking at it too hard but I cant see any way to do it with out redoing the the majority of the roof, which aint a option. Box gutters dont even come in to the equation, nor does a dodgy flat roof under the gutter line. Anyway, the deck area is approx 3x3 and ideally I want to pull a gable out over it. Put me out of misery...please:D

The roof plan attached is not to scale but gives a idea and the photos do the rest.
