Extending up and reusing roof

Hi all,

We are considering extending our home up, and given that our roof and tiles are in quite good condition, would it be possible to reuse the roof trusses (some narrowing required) and tiles? Is it cheaper to buy brand new all over? The upper level will almost be a carbon copy of downstairs, perhaps a couple of meters narrower. Would we be saving much in recycling?
