Hi Phil, if the photo was taken somewhere near the location you have listed, east of Melbourne. Then I would call your frog a 'Peron's Tree Frog' See the link to Frogs of Australia webpage

The one that you have photographed is very light in colour but I think I could make out some dark markings around the legs. Anyway that would be my best guess and I'm more then happy to be corrected on this one as I'm no expert on frogs.
