Remember the one about the old bloke driving a car for three years in NSW with Vic Plates? Well Since I posted that thread I have contacted the local highway Patrol 7 times. Yes it is becoming a bit of a thing with me now.:eek:

I called again today as the old ******* came with an inch of wiping out my side door, and I said "If this bloke can get away with the Vic rego, I want to get in on the act as well as it is cheaper for pensioners in Vic."

But, get this one, if the car is a company car, and the old bloke is has something to do with that company and that company is registered in Vic then their vehicles can be garaged in NSW and registered in Vic. according to Constable Thorn of the Coffs Harbour Highway Patrol.http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...cons/icon5.gif

As a public servant you probably have to call them a loophole. :D I call it another glaring example of the stupidity of our politicians when making laws. :eek:

Has there ever been a law made, apart from giving themselves yet another exorbitant pay increase, that did not require extensive amendmends to get it right. For the doubters try reading the Income Tax Acts. :mad:

BTW if 99.99 % of lawyers give the rest a bad name, what about the pollies ?

Goes without saying. :rolleyes: They sometimes give us a bit of legislation that, in thoery, will really help us do our job. THEN.... They put a few little requirements in that make it totally unworkable. :mad:
