Hi everyone,
My name is Luke Potter and live at the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges of southern Gippsland in a district called Budgeree. Its a beautiful place, and very day I think of how lucky me and my family are to be here. Some of you may be familiar with this area - rolling grassy hills that once ran dairy herds is now a wonderful eclectic mix of dairy and beef cattle, market gardens, and hobby farmers.
I am an electronic engineer and computer scientist by trade and have a keen interest in sustainable building and living technologies. My wife and I owner built our home against the odds, and against our rational judgement, and have created something that is very much a part of who we are and what we believe in - from the seeded polished concrete floor, to the stand alone wind and solar electricity generation system and our hydronic heating system.
I get this feeling of contentment when working with timber that's difficult to put into words. The grain, the smell, and the way is responds to chisel and hammer is all very satisfying for me.
I'd also like to say thank you for this opportunity to share my ideas and experience with you.

Welcome Luke your right the area is very beautiful much like the north coast of NSW dairy areas which are closer to beaches, fishing and sunshine.
