Well, at the risk of belabouring the obvious, there is a well-known timber called Wenge, generally naturally blackish in colour.
I think Africa sells it.
Running short on stock though. Consider light brown paint then coated with very dark brown paint then run a comb over it while the top coat is still wet. maybe.
I realise there is a Wenge timber, just like there's Jarrah, walnut, etc
There are also stains to match these colours.
I'm after a stain, not the timber.
