Hi from Poolaijelo Vic
I developed a liking for metalwork while working for an auto and general engineering firm from the ages of 18 to 24 many years ago. Thats the "Old"part of my login name.
I managed to finally aquire an old worn Nuttall lathe a couple of years ago. That is the "new" part of my login.
Engineering or metal working is one of my hobbies.
Have knocked up a milling attachment but want to get a mill someday. I have had a welder for about 25 years. Lost count of projects completed. About to start rebuild number 3 of my trailer. Made a hydraulic wood splitter, hay lifting trailer. Also a car trailer for an aquaintance.
I live on a small (43 acre) property with cows, sheep, some dogs (pets) and a horse. Because of my position I can make lots of noise any time I want. Can work in the shed in the middle of the night if I want. We have A timberframe (stringybark) weatherboard house which we are slowly renovating. 2 years for the bathroom so far. I want to build hardwood kitchen cupboards and other built in cupboards etc. I am planning to make a table saw.
I already have nearly the entire range of triton worktable stuff. I am not a total convert however, hence the table saw.
I work in a winery in Coonawarra.
