Suspended Kitchen Ceiling

I have 3.65 x 7 mt room (kitchen) with a sloping ceiling from 3 mts to 2.2mts on the short of the room. I wish to add a new a near level 2.4 mts ceiling, barring in mind the last meter will be below or near below the 2.4 height. I was planning in building a new ceiling but I’m wonder if a suspended ceiling would be a better option

Any info/thoughts or links would be very appreciated
