Photos

Sometimes photos automaticaly display and most times they only come up as links.
What causes this? I'd rather they automaticaly show.

Depends on how photos have been uploaded or linked. If they've been uploaded to forum, they should be showing as a clickable thumbnail, and if offsite, it depends on how that poster has provided the link to photo as we have no control on how photo will show.

Can you point us to threads where you're having probs so we can see what you mean?

Preferred method is for photos to be uploaded to forum as they'll always be preserved whereas those that are offsite can disappear if said poster doesn't maintain photo storage site.

To me it seems all threads. Photos can randomly be links and at other times be

I just did a little test just then and logged out as I am usually logged in when I open up the woodwork forum site. When I logged out I could see peoples avatars signature display pics and peoples pics were displayed as thumbnails. I then logged back in and all the avatars had gone and pics had referred back to image links.

I will check your settings.

You had pictures and avatars switched off. They are now back on.:wink:

That's pretty well my experience too.
So how do I switch pictures and avatars on?

Go up to User CP in the top left.

Look for edit options under settings and options.

Scroll down the page to thread display options and uncheck the avatars and pictures.
