DIY wardrobe shelves, where buy sliding doors?

Hi all,

I'm looking at renovating 2 wardrobes, one in master bedroom, one in other bedroom.
Floor to ceiling is 2.4m and master bedroom wardrobe is 3.5m wide, some 0.5m deep. Other bedroom wardrobe is same height, just 1.5 wide.

I would like to DIY, since I think $3000 quoted for material and labour is a bit too much?
If I DIY, I would need to buy rails and sliding doors somewhere...
Also, I would go for melamine for shelves, but don't like the cheap ordinary ones with rough sharp edges, would strive for thinner melamine with edges rounded a bit...

Anyone has experience with where to purchase the material from, please let me know!
