Paint stripping on front door

Previous owners of my home, have had a thing for blue and white paint..the front door looks like the flag of Greece!!

I'd like to strip the paint off and bring the natural wood back. I think its Merbau. The door plus the frame on the right is painted. Don't ask what the bedrooms look like..!

Anyway....I've read on the forum the best would be to use Citristrip. Looked up the process and sounds do-able. Am i trying to do something i should get a tradesman to do?? The only DIY qualification i have is painting the interior of the house!

Wondering whether i'll make a bigger mess than the Greece flag??!!...
